What are dental implants?
Dental implants are the gold standard for replacing missing teeth, and at Smiles Made Perfect Dental Partners, they're one of our most frequently performed treatments. An implant is a small titanium post that is surgically placed into the jawbone, where it fuses with the bone over time to create a stable, permanent foundation for a natural-looking crown, bridge, or full arch restoration. Unlike dentures or bridges, implants replace the root of the tooth, which means they preserve the jawbone, maintain the structure of your face, and function just like your natural teeth. We offer everything from single tooth implants to full arch restorations entirely in-house, and we also perform the supporting procedures many patients need along the way, including bone grafts and extractions. If you're not sure whether you're a candidate, we offer free implant consultations so you can get honest answers and a clear picture of your options before committing to anything. The entire process from extractions, if needed, to full implant restoration can take anywhere from three to six months, and we have a great plan for temporary help during that transition time so you're never without a smile.

The benefits of dental implants
A permanent solution that looks and feels natural
Implants are designed to integrate with your jawbone and function exactly like your natural teeth, so you can eat, speak, and smile without any of the limitations or self-consciousness that come with removable alternatives.
Protection for your jawbone and facial structure
When a tooth is lost, the jawbone beneath it begins to deteriorate over time. An implant replaces the tooth root and stimulates the bone just like a natural tooth would, preventing the bone loss that can change the shape of your face and compromise neighboring teeth.
Long-lasting results with proper care
With good oral hygiene and routine maintenance visits, dental implants can last a lifetime. They're one of the most durable and cost-effective long-term investments you can make in your oral health and your quality of life.

The dental implant process
Your free implant consultation
Every implant journey at Smiles Made Perfect begins with a free consultation, where your provider will evaluate your oral health, review your bone density, and talk through your goals and your options. This is also when we'll discuss the full timeline, what to expect at each stage, and how we'll keep you comfortable throughout the process. If extractions or bone grafting are needed before placement, we'll factor those into your personalized treatment plan so you have a clear picture from the very start.
Implant placement and healing
Once your treatment plan is in place, your provider will surgically place the titanium implant post into the jawbone at the site of the missing tooth or teeth. Sedation options including laughing gas and oral conscious sedation are available to keep you comfortable during the procedure, and we have a dedicated conscious sedation room for more involved cases. After placement, the implant will need time to fuse with the bone through a natural process called osseointegration, and we'll provide you with temporary restorations during this healing period so you're never without a functional, natural-looking smile.
Your final restoration and long-term care
Once the implant has fully integrated with the bone, your provider will attach your custom-made crown, bridge, or full arch restoration for a result that looks and feels completely natural. We'll check the fit, function, and aesthetics carefully before your treatment is complete and schedule any follow-up visits to make sure everything is healing well. From there, routine maintenance visits and good at-home hygiene are all you need to keep your implants performing beautifully for years to come.
